The invention relates to a method for converting ethylene into propylene consisting in reacting said ethylene with a supported metal compound comprising an aluminium oxide based support to which a tungsten hydride is grafted. Said reaction is carried out at a temperature ranging from 20 to 600 °C, preferably between 50 and 350 °C, at an absolute pressure ranging from 0.01 to 8 MPa, preferably between 0.01 and 1 MPa. A catalyst is regeneratable by introducing hydrogen at a temperature of 50-300 °C.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de tranformation de l'éthylène en propylène, dans lequel on fait réagir l'éthylène avec un composé métallique supporté comprenant un support à base d'oxyde d'aluminium sur lequel est greffé un hydrure de tungstène. La réaction peut être conduite entre 20 et 600 ~C, de préférence entre 50 et 350 ~C, sous une pression absolue comprise entre 0,01 et 8 MPa, de préférence 0,01 et 1 MPa. Le catalyseur peut être régénéré par admission d'hydrogène, à une température comprise entre 50 et 300 ~C.
