The invention relates to a method for copolymerizing polar and non-polar monomers, to a suitable catalyst system for said method, containing one or more transition metal compounds of groups 5-10 of the periodic table, one or more radical formers and optionally, one or more cocatalysts; to the polymers that can be obtained in this way, and to the use of the polymers produced using this method for producing molded bodies of all types.
