The invention concerns sonar's with synthetic antenna, particularly it concerns a method for correcting the effects of the physical antenna (202) interfering movements of said sonar which consists in simultaneously using self-focusing by intercorrelation of recurrences, measuring the physical antenna rotation with a gyroscope, and correcting said rotation measurement from the site angle of the reception signal obtained by means of a sub-antenna (203) perpendicular to the physical antenna. The invention enables to obtain sonar's with synthetic antenna having excellent spatial resolution.

L'invention concerne les sonars à antenne synthétique. Elle consiste, pour corriger les effets des mouvements parasites de l'antenne physique (202) de ce sonar à utiliser simultanément une autofocalisation par inter-corrélation des récurrences, une mesure de la rotation de l'antenne physique avec un gyromètre, et une correction de cette mesure de rotation à partir de la mesure de l'angle de site du signal de réception obtenue à l'aide d'une antenne auxiliaire (203) perpendiculaire à l'antenne physique. Elle permet d'obtenir des sonars à antenne synthétique ayant une excellente résolution spatiale.
