ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE METHOD FOR CULTURING A CHLORELLA There is disclosed a method for culturing a chlorella aerobically in a culture medium containing an organic carbon source, which comprises using whey treated with a lactose-decomposing enzyme as the said organic carbon source. The disclosure described provides a method for culturing a chlorella wherein a chlorella of many various kinds can be cultured inexpensively with a high yield and a high multiplication rate from whey that is presently discarded as waste liquor.
