Afin d'élargir les capacités technologiques, on comprime l'ébauche ondulée en partant de ses côtés et en assurant en coupe latérale un rayon de courbure défini par les paramètres de conception de la structure pliée curviligne. Le bloc fixé dans ces conditions est traité thermiquement pour assurer la détente du matériau de l'article, après quoi il est étiré pour former une structure pliée curviligne correspondant aux paramètres désirés.
