A method and device for cutting and sealing of disposable multilumen tubing (72) is disclosed. The method comprises providing a first surface (64) and an opposite second surface (66), placing a portion of the multilumen tubing (72) between the first and the second surface and applying heat and pressure to at least one of the first and the second surface so as to plastically deform and cut the said portion of the multilumen tubing and to heat-seal the cut ends thereof. The device for cutting and sealing comprises a first jaw and juxtaposed therewith a second jaw, said first and said second jaw are provided with respective first and second surface. The device further comprises biasing member (BM) exerting pressure on at least one of the said first and the second surface and a source of energy suitable for heating of at least one of the said first and the second surface.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif destinés à découper et à étanchéifier un tubage à lumières multiples jetable (72). Ce procédé consiste à fournir une première surface (64) et une seconde surface opposée (66), à placer une partie du tubage à lumières multiples (72) entre la première et la seconde surface et à appliquer de la chaleur et de la pression à au moins une des première et seconde surfaces afin de la déformer plastiquement et de découper la partie du tubage à lumières multiples, puis d'étanchéifier à chaud ses extrémités découpées. Le dispositif destiné à découper et à étanchéifier comprend une première mâchoire et une seconde mâchoire y étant juxtaposée, ces première et seconde mâchoires étant accompagnées d'une première et d'une seconde surface respective.
