The invention relates to a method for cutting hollow-shaped extruded profile sections in a press flow, wherein the extruded profile section is bent upon exit from the press either simultaneously with or directly after the forming extrusion process by means of a force acting thereon in a transversal manner in relation to the direction of the extruding press, and a force component acts as a traction of pressure force during the forming extrusion process on the cross-sectional area of the hollow-profile walls thus arising. The bent extruded profile section is cut in the press flow by the mechanical action of a saw, whereby force exerted on the extruded profile section during cutting is compensated by a supporting device arranged adjacent to the extruded profile section, so that deformation of the bent extruded profile section is prevented. The extruded profile section is made from an aluminium or magnesium alloy and has a temperature of 200 ~C - 600 ~C during cutting.

Procédé permettant de couper un profilé extrudé creux dans le flux sortant d'une presse, selon lequel le profilé extrudé est cintré, après sa sortie de la presse, parallèlement au processus de façonnage par extrusion ou immédiatement après ledit processus, par une force exercée sur le profilé extrudé transversalement par rapport au sens d'extrusion, et une composante de force agit en tant que force de traction ou de pression lors du processus de façonnage par extrusion sur la surface transversale des parois en formation du profilé creux. Le profilé extrudé cintré est alors coupé dans le flux sortant de la presse par l'action mécanique d'une scie, et la force exercée sur le profilé extrudé lors de la coupe est compensée par un dispositif de support placé adjacent au profilé extrudé de manière telle qu'une déformation du profilé extrudé cintré est évitée. Ledit profilé extrudé est constitué d'un alliage d'aluminium ou de magnésium et possède au moment de la coupe une température de l'ordre de 200 ·C à 600 ·C.
