The invention concerns a method for cutting of the leader of the web in a paper or board machine in the drying section of the machine by means of a jet of pressurized water. According to the method, the web is placed against the drying wire when it is being cut, and the jet is directed at the web from the free side of the web. The water-jet pressure used is 40...400 bar, preferably about 100 bar, which is produced by an ordinary pressure washer.

Cette invention a trait à une méthode pour couper le bord d'attaque de la bande dans une machine à papier ou à carton dans la section de séchage de ladite machine au moyen d'un jet d'eau pressurisée. Selon cette méthode, la bande de papier est placée contre un fil de séchage quand elle est coupée, et le jet est dirigé vers la bande à partir du côté libre de cette dernière. Le jet d'eau pressurisée utilisé se situe entre 40 et 400 bar de préférence environ 100 bar et est produit par une pile laveuse sous pression ordinaire.
