ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Vibration of the surfaces of a loudspeaker enclosure causesunwanted sound output. A method for decreasing this vibration comprises connecting a body, preferably a flexible cable or wire, at various positions on the inside surfaces of the loudspeaker enclosure. The cable is tensioned and clamped to maintain the tension. The force which the tensioned cable exerts on the enclosure surfaces acts to stiffen the enclosure surface and decrease vibration of the enclosure surface.
