ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The method for demodulating a frequency- modulated signal comprises considering the signal as being the projection, on an axis Ox, of a rotating vector rotating about a point O in a coordinate Oxy in such a way that the frequency variations of the signal correspond to the rotary speed variations of this rotating vector. After sampling the signal at a rhythm equal to 4 times a frequency F' in the frequency band of the signal, using an appropriate calculation, the position of the rotating vector is determined by means of two successive samples of the signal. The frequency variation of the signal between two times spaced by a cycle Image is then deduced from the position of the rotating vector at these times.
