A method for deriving a wellness related index for a composition for consumption by an animal by (a) evaluating an effect of the composition, relative to the effect of one or more comparative compositions, on each of a plurality of parameters indicative of the health or wellness of the animal; (b) expressing the relative effect of the composition on each parameter as a numerical score; and (c) computing the wellness related index using an algorithm that takes into account the numerical scores of the composition for the plurality of parameters.
La présente invention concerne un procédé pour dériver un indice de bien-être pour une composition à consommer par un animal en (a) évaluant un effet de la composition, par rapport à l'effet d'une ou plusieurs compositions comparatives, sur chacun d'une pluralité de paramètres indicatifs de la santé ou du bien-être de l'animal ; (b) exprimant l'effet relatif de la composition sur chaque paramètre en tant que score numérique ; et (c) calculant l'indice de bien-être en utilisant un algorithme qui prend en compte les scores numériques de la composition pour la pluralité de paramètres.
