A system and method for design aspects of a cooling system for a data center is provided. In one example, a method is provided including acts of receiving an indication to position a perforated tile in a model, calculating cooling available in a model space adjacent to the tile, and displaying an indication of cooling availability within the context of the model on a com-puter system. In another example, a method is provided for manipulating representations of data elements in a model of a data center. The method allows a user to move multiple representations by adjusting the position of a layer of the model space relative to another layer in the model space.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé portant sur des aspects de conception d'un système de refroidissement d'un centre de données. Dans un exemple, l'invention concerne un procédé qui consiste notamment à recevoir une indication pour positionner un pavé perforé dans un modèle, à calculer le refroidissement disponible dans un espace modèle jouxtant le pavé, et à afficher une indication de la disponibilité en refroidissement dans le contexte du modèle sur un système informatique. Dans un autre exemple, l'invention concerne un procédé permettant de manipuler des représentations d'éléments de données dans un modèle de centre de données.
