A method for detecting a signal propagation time between a mobile radio terminal (1) and a base station (2) in a mobile radio network in a mobile radio terminal (1), particularly for the purpose of localizing the latter, where the mobile radio terminal (1) inserts a propagation time detection information item into a channel request message in order to signal to the base station (2) that no channel reservation but only propagation time detection needs to be carried out, so as to achieve significantly reduced loading of network resources in comparison with the prior art.
L'invention concerne un procédé de détermination d'un temps de parcours entre un terminal de téléphonie mobile (1) et une station de base (2) d'un réseau de téléphonie mobile, cela au niveau dudit terminal de téléphonie mobile (1), en particulier pour la localisation de celui-ci. Selon ledit procédé, une information de détermination de temps de parcours est introduite, par le terminal de téléphonie mobile (1), dans un message de demande de canal pour signaler à la station de base (2) qu'aucune réservation de canal, mais seulement une détermination de temps de parcours, n'a été exécutée, ce qui permet d'obtenir, si l'on compare avec l'état antérieur, une charge sensiblement réduite des ressources de réseau.
