The invention relates to a method for detecting increased susceptibility to tumours by specifically detecting a polymorphism in the position 354 A G in the exon 12 of the human murine double minute-2 (MDM2) gene. Said polymorphism represents a hereditary marker for increased risk of cancer in humans. The invention also relates to the use of said tumour susceptibility marker for developing in vitro and in vivo test systems which integrate said markers, in a specific manner, into diagnostic, prognostic and possibly therapeutic methods.
L'invention concerne un procédé de détection d'une sensibilité tumorale accrue consistant en une détection spécifique d'un polymorphisme en position 354 A .fwdarw. G dans l'exon 12 du gène murin double minute 2 humain (gène MDM2). Ce polymorphisme constitue un marqueur héréditaire du risque de cancer élevé chez l'homme. L'invention concerne en outre l'utilisation de ce marqueur de sensibilité tumorale pour le développement de systèmes de tests in vitro et in vivo qui, de façon spécifique, font intervenir ce marqueur dans des procédés diagnostiques, pronostiques et, éventuellement, aussi thérapeutiques.
