A method of detecting impending analytical failure in a networked diagnostic clinical analyzer is based upon detecting whether the operation of a particular analyzer is statistically distinguishable based on one or more thresholds. A failure occurs when one or more components or modules of the analyzer fails. A method to detect such an impending failure is disclosed. Baseline data on a pre-selected set of analyzer variables for a population of diagnostic clinical analyzers is used to generate an impending failure threshold. Subsequently, operational data comprising the same pre-selected set of analyzer variables allows generation of a time series of operational statistics. If the operational statistic exceeds the impeding failure threshold in a prescribed manner, an impending analytical failure is predicted. Such detection of impending analytical failures facilitates intelligent scheduling of service for the analyzer in question to maintain high assay throughput and accuracy.
Un procédé de détection d'une défaillance analytique imminente d'un analyseur clinique de diagnostic en réseau est basé sur la détection du fait que le fonctionnement d'un analyseur particulier est ou non statistiquement distinguable sur la base d'un ou de plusieurs seuils. Une défaillance apparaît lorsqu'un ou plusieurs composants ou modules de l'analyseur sont défaillants. L'invention concerne un procédé de détection d'une telle défaillance imminente. Des données de ligne de base concernant un ensemble présélectionné de variables d'analyseur pour une population d'analyseurs cliniques de diagnostic sont utilisées pour générer un seuil de défaillance imminente. Par la suite, des données de fonctionnement comprenant le même ensemble présélectionné de variables d'analyseur permettent la génération d'une série temporelle de statistiques de fonctionnement. Si les statistiques de fonctionnement dépassent le seuil de défaillance imminente d'une manière prescrite, une défaillance analytique imminente est prédite. Cette détection de défaillances analytiques imminentes facilite la planification intelligente de la maintenance de l'analyseur en question pour maintenir une productivité et une précision d'analyse élevées.
