La présente invention concerne un procédé de quantification d'une lipoprotéine dénaturée dans un échantillon biologique caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte la mise en contact de l'échantillon biologique avec un anticorps dirigé contre la phosphocholine et la quantification du complexe immun ainsi formé. L'invention concerne également un procédé de détection d'une maladie du système circulatoire comportant la mise en contact d'un échantillon biologique avec un anticorps dirigé contre la phosphocholine et la quantification du complexe immun ainsi formé. L'invention concerne en outre des réactifs permettant la quantification d'une lipoprotéine dénaturée contenant un anticorps dirigé contre la phosphocholine, et des réactifs permettant la détection d'une maladie du système circulatoire contenant un anticorps dirigé contre la phosphocholine.
