The present invention relates to a method for determining a network delay, on a network having a first client (A) and at least one second client (B), comprising the steps of time synchronizing the first client (A) and the second client (B), performing an action by the first client (A) and capturing the action and its corresponding timestamp in a first log file, capturing a reaction of the second client (B) caused by the action of the first client (A) and its corresponding timestamp in a second log file, and determining the network delay by computing the time difference between the timestamp of the reaction and the timestamp of the action causing the reaction through comparison of the second log file with the first log file.
L'invention concerne un procédé qui permet de mesurer un retard de réseau sur un réseau comportant un premier client (A) et au moins un second client (B), lequel procédé consiste à : effectuer une synchronisation temporelle entre le premier client (A) et le second client (B); faire entreprendre une action au premier client (A) et capturer l'action et l'estampille temporelle correspondante dans un premier fichier journal; capturer une réaction du second client (B) entraînée par l'action du premier client (A) et l'estampille temporelle correspondante dans un second fichier journal; et mesurer le retard de réseau en calculant la différence temporelle entre l'estampille temporelle de la réaction et l'estampille temporelle de l'action ayant entraîné la réaction, par comparaison entre le premier fichier journal et le second fichier journal.
