The invention relates to a method for determining and controlling inorganic and/or organic deposits in a water system, preferably a paper and/or board machine re-circulation system. According to said method, one or more probes are introduced into the water system, then removed from said system after a pre-selected exposure period and prepared for surface analysis. The deposits that have accumulated on the probes are determined by means of microscopy methods and/or gas chromatography methods and/or mass spectrometry methods.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour déterminer et pour contrôler des dépôts inorganiques et/ou organiques dans un système d'eau, de préférence dans un système circulant dans une machine à fabriquer du papier et/ou du carton. Selon l'invention, un ou plusieurs éléments de prélèvement sont introduits dans le système d'eau, puis ils en sont retirés après un temps d'exposition déterminé et ils sont préparés en vue d'un examen superficiel, les dépôts se trouvant sur les éléments de prélèvement étant déterminés selon des méthodes de microscopie et/ou de chromatographie en phase gazeuse et/ou de spectroscopie de masse.
