A method for determining the efficiency of a carbon filter (21) used to absorb hydrocarbons from organic solvents. A sample of the solution, used to remove CO2 and H2S from natural hydrocarbon gases, is taken after it has passed through the carbon filter, at sample point (A). A solution of an internal standard and carbon disulfide is added to the sample to concentrate the hydrocarbons into the solution. A second sample is taken from the solution containing the concentrated hydrocarbons and is passed through a gas chromatograph which has a fast temperature ramp to measure the peak areas of the hydrocarbons and the internal standard. The concentration of the measured hydrocarbons are determined by comparing the peak area counts against that of the internal standard.
L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à déterminer l'efficacité d'un filtre à charbon (21) servant à absorber des hydrocarbures provenant de solvants organiques. Après être passé à travers le filtre à charbon, un échantillon d'une solution, utilisé pour éliminer le CO2 et le H2S de gaz d'hydrocarbures naturels, est prélevé au point échantillon (A). Une solution à base d'un étalon interne et de disulfure de carbone est ajoutée à l'échantillon afin de concentrer les hydrocarbures dans la solution. Un second échantillon est prélevé à partir de la solution contenant les hydrocarbures concentrés, puis introduit dans un chromatographe en phase gazeuse présentant une progression thermique rapide afin de permettre la mesure des zones de pic des hydrocarbures et de l'étalon interne. On détermine la concentration des hydrocarbures en comparant les mesures de ces zones de pic avec celles de l'étalon interne.
