METHOD FOR DETERMINING MONOFLUOROPHOSPHATE COMPATIBILITY OF DICALCIUM PHOSPHATE DIHYDRATE IN TOOTHPASTE FORMULATIONS ABSTRACT A test for predicting the fluoride compatibility of different dicalcium phosphate dihydrate compositions in toothpaste formulations containing fluoride ion sources comprises forming a slurry of water, glycerine, the fluoride ion source and a dicalcium phosphate dihydrate to be tested, maintaining the slurry at an elevated temperature for a predetermined period of time, and determining the amount of water-soluble fluoride, as fluoride ion, remaining after said period of time at said temperature. Typical elevated temperature is that of boiling water while typical time is 1 hour. C-6031
