A method for determining contamination in marine diesel lubricating oils, particularly residual fuel and insolubles, comprising developing a calibration model on the basis of chemometric analysis of UV-visible raw spectral data of reference lubricating oil samples with known properties and concentrations of residual fuel and insolubles, and applying this model to analysis of UV- visible raw spectral data of samples with unknown concentrations of residual fuel and insolubles in order to determine these unknown concentrations, as represented on Figure 1. The actual values of concentrations of residual fuel and insolubles in the reference spectra are obtained by conventional analytical methods.
L'invention concerne un procédé de détermination de la contamination d'huiles lubrifiantes pour moteur diesel marin, en particulier de carburant et d'éléments insolubles résiduels, qui consiste à élaborer un modèle d'étalonnage sur la base d'analyse chimiométrique de données spectrales brutes visibles par UV d'échantillons d'huile lubrifiante de référence présentant des propriétés et des concentrations connues de carburant et d'éléments insolubles résiduels; et à appliquer ledit modèle à une analyse de données spectrales brutes visibles par UV d'échantillons présentant des concentrations inconnues de carburant et d'éléments insolubles résiduels afin que soient déterminées ces concentrations inconnues, tel que représenté par la figure 1. Les valeurs ponctuelles des concentrations de carburant et d'éléments insolubles résiduels dans le spectre de référence sont obtenues par des procédés analytiques traditionnels.
