The invention relates to a method for determining the course of a vehicle which is fitted with navigation sensors for measuring navigation data, especially an underwater vehicle. According to said method, in order to calculate an optimum course which provides a very good approximation of the effective covered course of the vehicle, the positions of the vehicle at the beginning of the course and at the end of the course are measured, the measured navigation data is stored as a function of time during the displacement, a first course covered by the vehicle is calculated using the stored navigation data, from the vehicle position at the beginning of the course, and a fictitious second course is calculated from the vehicle position at the end of the course, for a return time from the moment the course ends, and the two courses are mutually compensated.

L'invention concerne un procédé de détermination de la course d'un véhicule pourvu de capteurs de navigation, servant à la mesure de données de navigation, en particulier d'un véhicule sous-marin. Selon ledit procédé, pour le calcul d'une course optimisée, permettant une très bonne approximation de la course effectivement effectuée par le véhicule, les positions du véhicule correspondant au début de sa course et à la fin de sa course sont mesurées, les données de navigation sont, pendant le déplacement, mémorisées en fonction du temps, une première course parcourue par le véhicule est calculée avec les données de navigation mémorisées, à partir de la position du véhicule au départ de la course, et une seconde course, fictive, du véhicule est calculée à partir de la position du véhicule à la fin de sa course, pour un temps de retour à partir du moment de la fin de la course, et les deux courses sont mutuellement compensées.
