A method for drying a sheet of cellulose material, particularly a sheet of wet paper having a dry grammage of 10-80 g/m<2> and a starting dryness level of 8-30 %, wherein said sheet is supported on a permeable web and hot air is caused to flow therethrough at high speed by means of a vacuum of 100-500 millibars generated underneath the web.

Le procédé de séchage d'une feuille de matière cellulosique, notamment une feuille de papier humide de grammage à l'état sec compris entre 10 et 80 g/m2 et présentant initialement un taux de siccité compris entre environ 8 et 30 % consistant à supporter ladite feuille sur une toile perméable et à la faire traverser par un flux d'air chaud à vitesse élevée, est caractérisé en ce que le flux d'air est engendré par une dépression de 100 à 500 millibars créée sous la toile.
