Human antibodies that bind to woodchuck hepatitis virus core antigen are elevated in chronic hepatitis B patients in comparison to acute hepatitis B patients. Immunoassays for detection of the level of anti-WHV core antigen antibodies is used to distinguish chronic from acute hepatitis B patients.
Des anticorps humains se liant à l'antigène de la nucléocapside du virus de l'hépatite de la marmotte commune sont cultivés chez des patients souffrant d'hépatite B chronique, et comparés avec ceux de patients souffrant d'hépatite B aiguë. Des immunoessais de détection du niveau d'anticorps de l'antigène de la nucléocapside anti-WHW permettent alors de distinguer entre patients souffrant d'hépatite B chronique et patients souffrant d'hépatite B aiguë.
