The probe (20) is disposed so that a tip portion (32) thereof in contact with the fluid layer disposed on the subject's tongue so that the sulfide responsive electrode (24) contacts fluid. The reference electrode (26) is also in electrical communication with the fluid, via the salt bridge (30). An electrical potential is developed between the sulfide responsive electrode (24), and the reference electrode (26). This electrical potential is proportional to the sulfide concentration in the fluid.
La sonde (20) est disposée de telle sorte que sa pointe (32) soit en contact avec la couche de liquide déposée sur la langue du sujet et que l'électrode sensible au sulfure (24) soit en contact avec le liquide. L'électrode de référence (26) est également reliée électriquement au liquide via le pont salin (30). On applique un potentiel électrique entre les électrodes (24) et (26).
