The invention relates to a method for displaying an autostereoscopic image having N viewpoints on at least a portion of a screen containing display pixels arranged in lines and columns, each display pixel containing a first, a second and a third color point aligned on the same line and each being of a different color (R.V.B.). The first display pixel of one line is constituted of color points of row 1 to 3, the second display pixel of one line is constituted of color points of row 4 to 6, the display pixel of row q of a line is constituted of color points of row (3q 2) to 3q. According to the inventive method, N is greater than 1 and the pixels of an autostereoscopic image to be displayed are displayed in such a manner that the 3 color points of each display pixel display 3 homologous color component color points of pixels of the autostereoscopic image coming from at least two pixels of the same row of at least two different viewpoints. The invention is characterized in that, for at least one group of two successive image lines comprising a first, a second and a third line, said spatial distribution of the 3 color points is offset by a step corresponding to a color point when passing from one line of the group to an adjacent line.
L'Invention est relative à un procédé d'affichage d'une image autostéréoscopique à N points de vue, sur au moins une partie d'un écran comportant des pixels d'affichage disposés selon des lignes et des colonnes, chaque pixel d'affichage comprenant un premier, un deuxième et un troisième points de couleur alignés sur une même ligne et dont chacun est de couleur différente (R.V.B.), le premier pixel d'affichage d'une ligne étant constitué par les points de couleur de rang 1 à 3, le deuxième pixel d'affichage d'une ligne étant constitué par les points de couleur de rang 4 à 6, ~ le pixel d'affichage de rang q d'une ligne étant constitué par les points de couleur de rang (3q - 2) à 3q, procédé dans lequel N est supérieur à 1 et dans lequel les pixels d'une image autostéréoscopique à afficher sont affichés de telle sorte que les 3 points de couleur de chaque pixel d'affichage affichent 3 points de couleur de composante de couleur homologue de pixels de l'image autostéréoscopique provenant d'au moins deux pixels de même rang d'au moins deux points de vue différents, caractérisé en ce que, pour au moins un groupe de deux lignes successives de l'image comprenant une première, une deuxième et une troisième ligne, ladite répartition spatiale des 3 points de couleur est décalée d'un pas correspondant à un point de couleur lorsqu'on passe d'une ligne du groupe à une ligne adjacente.
