The invention relates to 1:2-chrome complex dyes of formula (I), wherein R = C1-9-alkyl or a radical of formula (a) or (b), R1 = C1-4-alkyl, -COOM, -COOR5 or -CONH2, R2 = hydrogen or SO3M, R3 = hydrogen, methyl or methoxy, R4 = hydrogen, methyl, methoxy or chlorine, R5 = C1-4-alkyl, n = 0 to 3, M = hydrogen or a non-chromophoric cation and Kat+ = hydrogen or a non- chromophoric cation. The inventive dyes are suitable for dying artificially produced oxide layers on aluminium or aluminium alloys to give high light-fast orange-shaded tints.

Colorants constitués de complexes de chrome 1/2, de formule (I), dans laquelle R représente alkyle C¿1?-C¿9? ou un résidu de formule (a) ou (b); R¿1? représente alkyle C¿1?-C¿4?, COOM, COOR¿5? ou CONH¿2?; R¿2? représente hydrogène ou SO¿3?M; R¿3? représente hydrogène, méthyle ou méthoxy; R¿4? représente hydrogène, méthyle, méthoxy ou chlore; R¿5? représente alkyle C¿1?-C¿4?; n est compris entre 0 et 3; M représente hydrogène ou un cation non chromophore; et Kat?+¿ représente hydrogène ou un cation non chromophore. Ces colorants conviennent pour teinter des couches d'oxyde produites artificiellement sur l'aluminium ou sur des alliages d'aluminium, et donnent des teintes orangées stables à la lumière.
