The process comprises adding to the coated broke during repulping a composition comprising a tetrafunctional alkoxylated diamine having the structure: Image wherein R1 and R2 are ethylene oxide or propylene oxide and R1 and R2 are not the same, and a second compound selected from the group consisting of a phosphate, phosphonate and phosphonic acid.
