The invention relates to a method for eliminating oxygenated organic molecules, such as organic acids and alcohols, which are present in a liquid or gaseous organic effluent. The inventive method is characterised in that the elimination is carried out by absorption on alumina agglomerates having the following characteristics: - the specific surface area thereof is greater than or equal to 10 m /g, and preferably 30 m /g; said agglomerates optionally contain one or more dopants of alkaline metals, earth-alkaline metals or rare earths having a total weight content that is less than or equal to 50 %, preferably 25 %, better still between 5000 ppm and 20 % or, even better, between 5000 ppm and 12 %; - if the dopant content of said agglomerates is greater than or equal to 5000 ppm, the total porous volume thereof is greater than or equal to 30 ml/100g and, better still, 35 ml/100g, and the V¿70.ANG.? thereof is greater than or equal to 10ml/100g, preferably greater than or equal to 15ml/100g, better still greater than or equal to 22ml/100g, even better greater than or equal to 28ml/100g and, optimally, greater than or equal to 35ml/100g; - if the dopant content of said agglomerates is less than 5000 ppm, the total porous volume thereof is greater than or equal to 45 ml/100g, preferably 50ml/100g and, better still, 55 ml/100g, and the V70.ANG. thereof is greater than or equal to 15ml/100g, preferably 22ml/100g, better still 28ml/100g or, optimally, 35ml/100g.
Procédé d'élimination des molécules oxygénées organiques, telles que les alcools et acides organiques, présentes dans un effluent organique liquide ou gazeux, caractérisé en ce qu'on réalise cette élimination par adsorption sur des agglomérés d'alumine tels que : - leur surface spécifique est supérieure ou égale à 10 m /g, préférentiellement à 30 m /g - ils renferment optionnellement un ou des composés dopants de métaux alcalins, de métaux alcalino-terreux et de terres rares avec une teneur massique totale inférieure ou égale à 50%, préférentiellement à 25%, très préférentiellement comprise entre 5000 ppm et 20%, encore plus préférentiellement comprise entre 5000 ppm et 12% ; - si leur teneur en composés dopants est supérieure ou égale à 5000 ppm, leur volume poreux total est supérieur ou égal à 30 ml/100g, très préférentiellement à 35 ml/100g, et leur V70.ANG. est supérieur ou égal à 10ml/100g, préférentiellement supérieur ou égal à 15ml/100g, très préférentiellement supérieur ou égal à 22ml/100g, encore plus préférentiellement supérieur ou égal à 28ml/100g, optimalement supérieur ou égal à 35ml/100g ; - si leur teneur en composés dopants est inférieure à 5000 ppm, leur volume poreux total est supérieur ou égal à 45 ml/100g, préférentiellement à 50ml/100g très préférentiellement à 55 ml/100g, et leur V70.ANG. est supérieur ou égal à 15ml/100g, préférentiellement à 22ml/100g, très préférentiellement à 28ml/100g, optimalement à 35ml/100g.
