Semiconductor nanoparticle complexes comprising semiconductor nanoparticles in association with cationic polymers are described. Also described are methods for enhancing the transport of semiconductor nanoparticles across biological membranes to provide encoded cells. The methods are particularly useful in multiplex settings where a plurality of encoded cells are to be assayed. Kits comprising reagents for performing such methods are also provided.

L'invention concerne des complexes de nanoparticules semiconductrices contenant des nanoparticules semiconductrices associées à des polymères cationiques. L'invention concerne également des procédés permettant d'améliorer le transport de nanoparticules semiconductrices à travers des membranes biologiques, de sorte à obtenir des cellules codées. Ces procédés sont particulièrement utiles dans des techniques multiplexes consistant à doser une pluralité de cellules codées. L'invention concerne encore des kits contenant des réactifs permettant la mise en oeuvre desdits procédés.
