ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for expressing a phosphorylated exogenous protein in a host cell. A first vector having a nucleotide sequence encoding an exogenous protein which is capable of being phosphorylated by a protein kinase catalytic domain and a second vector having a nucleotide sequence encoding a protein kinase catalytic domain are prepared. The first and second vectors are expressed in the host cell whereby the expressed catalytic domain phosphorylates the expressed exogenous protein.
