A method for extending the flavor shelf life of aqueous compositions flavored with moisture and acid sensitive flavors. The increased flavor shelf life is obtained by combining an edible organic acid and edible divalent salt with a moisture and acid sensitive flavor. Flavor compositions capable of providing an aqueous composition with an increased flavor shelf life are also disclosed.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'accroître la durée de conservation de saveurs de compositions aqueuses aromatisées avec une certaine teneur en eau et des arômes sensibles aux acides. La durée de conservation accrue des saveurs est obtenue par combinaison d'un acide organique comestible et d'un sel divalent comestible avec une certaine teneur en eau et un arôme sensible aux acides. Cette invention a également trait à des compositions d'arômes qui peuvent apporter à une composition aqueuse une durée de conservation accrue des saveurs.
