ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The invention is concerned with a method for the extraction of mycotoxins from vegetable flours. The method of the invention comprises extracting the flours or a product obtained therefrom with a solvent consisting of a mixture of nor.butyl alcohol with an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid. The invention enabled one to remove the aflatoxins and all the mycotoxins of similar structure, under conditions which do not cause degradation of the proteins.
