The invention provides a method for extracting nucleic acids from a sample. The sample contains cells, viruses, or both cells and viruses. The method include adding a lysing solution containing a detergent to the sample to lyse the cells or viruses to form a lysate, adding alcohol to the lysate to aggregate or precipitate the nucleic acids, and purifying the nucleic acids from the lysate-alcohol mixture by filtering the mixture through a glass-fiber filter.
L'invention concerne une méthode permettant d'extraire des acides nucléiques d'un échantillon. Ledit échantillon contient des cellules, des virus ou les deux. La méthode consiste à ajouter une solution de lyse contenant un détergent à l'échantillon afin de lyser les cellules ou les virus et de former un lysat, à ajouter un alcool au lysat afin d'agréger ou de précipiter les acides nucléiques et à purifier les acides nucléiques provenant du mélange lysat-alcool par filtrage dudit mélange à travers un filtre de fibre de verre.
