The invention relates to a method for extruding a profile or a similar billet (50) from a bolt or bar (30, 30a) that is guided in a recipient bore (16) of a recipient (14) and that is extruded by means of an extrusion die (10) through a shaping section (46) of a shaping tool (38). Once the front face (34a) of the bar (30) is placed on the rear surface (33a) of a preceding bar (30a), air or similar flowing agents present on said surfaces (33a, 34a) are discharged during pressure build-up in an approximately radial relation together with the contaminations that are present in detached form on the transversal bur surface. During pressure build-up, parts of the transversal burs are radially displaced; the displaced parts of the transversal bur surface are discharged on the periphery in an approximately radial relation before the bar enters the shaping tool (38). To achieve this, a welding chamber or pre-chamber (70) is disposed in the direction of extrusion (x) in a gap that can be adjusted between the recipient (14) and the shaping tool (38). Said chamber is provided with at least one lateral opening or discharge channel (72) through which the displaced parts of the transversal bur are discharged.

L'invention concerne un procédé d'extrusion d'un profil ou d'un extrudat analogue (50) à partir d'un lingot ou d'une barre (30, 30¿a?) guidé(e) dans la forure (16) d'un récipient (14) et pressé(e) au moyen d'une filière (10) à travers une section de formage (46) d'un outil de formage (38). Dès que la face (34¿a?) de la barre (30) est posée sur la surface arrière (33a) d'une barre précédente (30¿a?), l'air ou des agents d'écoulement analogues présents au niveau desdites surfaces (33¿a?, 34¿a?) ainsi que les impuretés présentes à l'état de dissolution sur la surface de bavure transversale sont évacués de manière approximativement radiale lors de l'établissement de la pression. Au cours de cet établissement de pression, des parties de bavures transversales sont déplacées radialement et ces parties déplacées de la surface de bavure transversale sont évacuées de manière approximativement radiale au niveau de la périphérie, avant que le lingot ou la barre ne pénètre dans l'outil de formage (38). A cet effet, une chambre de soudure ou une préchambre (70) est disposée dans le sens de l'extrusion (x) dans un interstice situé de manière réglable entre le récipient (14) et l'outil de formage (38). Cette chambre comporte au moins une ouverture latérale ou un canal d'évacuation latéral (72) au travers desquels les parties de bavure transversale sont évacuées.
