A method for fabricating an optical device that uses a robust purified adhesive as a bonding agent is disclosed. Impurity particles greater than or equal to 0.1 microns are removed from liquid precursor materials prior to polymerization or cross-linking. The impurity particles are separated from the precursor by applying a high gravitational centrifugal force. The purified adhesive is used to bond together optical components disposed in the optical path of the device. The purified adhesive resists damage from high-powered lasers because impurity particles that would otherwise absorb and scatter laser light are removed from the adhesive.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un dispositif optique utilisant un adhésif purifié robuste comme liant. Des particules d'impuretés d'une taille supérieure ou égale à 0,1 micron sont retirées des matériaux précurseurs liquides avant la polymérisation ou la réticulation. On sépare ces particules d'impuretés du précurseur en appliquant une force centrifuge gravitationnelle élevée. L'adhésif purifié est utilisé pour coller entre eux des composants optiques disposés sur le parcours optique du dispositif. Cet adhésif purifié résiste aux dégâts causés par des lasers à grande puissance car les particules d'impuretés qui autrement auraient absorbé et dispersé la lumière laser ont été retirées de l'adhésif.
