A method for separating undesired particles from a gaseous medium in which the particles are dispersed. The particles and gaseous medium are passed through a fluid~pervious filtration media which has been infused with an absorbtion composition comprising a homogeneous thermal reaction product of an oil component selected from the group consisting of glycerides, fatty acids, alkenes, and alkynes, and a methacrylate or acrylate polymer component. The particles are thereby immobilized at the media. The purified gaseous medium having passed through the filtration media is collected and flowed to a utilization or discharge point.
L'invention porte sur un procédé de séparation des particules indésirables d'avec un milieu gazeux où elles sont dispersées. A cette fin le milieu gazeux chargé traverse un milieu filtrant perméable aux fluides imprégné d'une composition absorbante comportant un produit homogène de la réaction thermique d'un composant huileux sélectionné parmi des glycérides, des acides gras, des alcènes, des alcynes, et un composant de méthacrylate ou de polymère d'acrylate. Les particules sont ainsi immobilisées dans le milieu. Le milieu gazeux purifié ayant traversé le milieu filtrant est ensuite recueilli, puis dirigé vers un lieu d'utilisation ou de décharge.
