The invention relates to a filter aid for filtering a liquid, such as beer, in a filtration device working on a defined filtration velocity, said filter aid consists essentially of particles of a material A, wherein the flotation velocity UoA is measured as Formula (I): wherein dA is the diameter of the particle, µ is the viscosity of the fluid, r is the density of the fluid and .rho.a is the density of the particle. The invention further relates to the use of said filter aid as a precoating material in a candle filtration device and to the candle filtration device comprising a number of candles provided with a precoat consisting essentially of the filter aid according to the invention and to a filtrated liquid, for example alcohol and more in particular beer, obtained via a filtration method using a candle filtration device.
L'invention concerne un supplément pour filtre destiné à filtrer un liquide et notamment de la bière dans un dispositif de filtrage fonctionnant avec un débit de filtrage défini. Ce supplément pour filtre est principalement constitué des particules d'une matière A, la vitesse de flottaison UoA étant mesurée selon la formule (I), dans laquelle dA est le diamètre de la particule, µ est la viscosité du liquide, r est la densité du liquide et .rho. est la densité de la particule. L'invention concerne aussi l'utilisation de ce filtre en tant que matière de préenrobage dans un dispositif de filtrage à bougies et un dispositif de filtrage à bougies comprenant un certain nombre de bougies munies d'un préenrobage constitué principalement du supplément de filtre de l'invention, de même qu'un liquide filtré, par exemple, une boisson alcoolisée et plus particulièrement de la bière, obtenue grâce au procédé de filtrage au moyen d'un dispositif de filtrage à bougies.
