Postforming of the transition area between the starting portion and the end portion of a closed-frame member extruded onto a glass sheet (1) may be achieved by means of a mould (14) that is pivotable about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the extruded member, and adjacent to the surface of the glass sheet (1). The pivot axis of the mould (14) coincides with the cutting edge (15) of a lip (16) defining the edge of the calibrated cavity of the mould (14) on the inner surface of the extruded member. When the mould (14) is pivoted, excess polymeric material is pushed back towards the edge of the glass sheet and therebeyond.
Pour le postformage de la zone de transition entre la partie initiale et la partie terminale d'un profilé formant un cadre fermé et appliqué par extrusion sur un vitrage (1), on utilise un moule (14) qui pivote autour d'un axe parallèle à l'axe longitudinal du profilé extrudé et qui est situé aux environs de la surface du vitrage (1). L'axe de pivotement du moule (14) coïncide avec l'arête tranchante (15) d'un ressaut (16), qui limite la cavité calibrée du moule (14) sur la face interne du profilé extrudé. Lors du pivotement du moule (14), le matériau polymère en excès est refoulé en direction de la périphérie du vitrage et au-delà de celle-ci.
