13 ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a method for fitting a roll-ring onto the end of a roll-axle in a manner which will enable a roll-ring exchange to be quickly carried out. The inventive method is characterized by the steps of prefitting the roll-ring (30) to a roll-ring mount (20), and then fastening the mount, with the roll-ring fitted thereto, to one end of the roll-axle (40), subse- quent to having removed from the roll-axle, when neces- sary, a previously fitted mount with a roll-ring fitted thereto. The invention also relates to a roll-ring mount for carrying out the method, and to a roll-axle configured for coaction with the mount.
