ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The machine comprises two facing electrodes, having two parallel axes and located in the plane containing the rotation axis of the tube drive jaws, whereby at least one of the electrodes is mounted in sliding manner on the carriage in such a way that the distance between the axes of the electrodes can be regulated to any desired value. Application of the invention is to the welding of studs to heat exchanger tubes.
