A method of rendering wooden material flame-retardant so as to achieve flame- retardant levels as stipulated by the authorities concerned economically in a simple and easy way, which comprises mixing a flame retardant in a concentration of about 30-50 % with an aqueous solution of ethers and alcohols, directly spraying wooden material with the resultant mixture under ordinary conditions while controlling the liquid temperature to be kept above 60 ~C, thus effecting impregnation in such a manner that the impregnated wooden material will achieve a weight gain of about 20-30 % in the subsequent drying step.
Un procédé simple et économique pour ignifuger un matériau à base de bois d'une manière apte à satisfaire la législation en cours à peu de frais, simplement et aisément, consiste à mélanger un agent ignifugeant en une concentration d'environ 30-50 % avec une solution aqueuse d'éthers et d'alcools, puis à pulvériser le mélange obtenu directement sur le matériau en bois, et cela d'une manière usuelle, mais en maintenant la température du liquide au-dessus de 60 ·C, de sorte que l'imprégnation obtenue assure que l'article en bois imprégné augmente en poids par environ 20-30 % au cours de l'étape subséquente de séchage.
