Abstract of the Disclosure This invention relates to a method for forming a colored image on a degradable sheet material. As a result, a negative- or positive-working color proofing sheet can be produced on a variety of printing paper stocks. Upon exposure to an actinic radiation source through a screened image and development, it can accurately reproduce the image on the degradable sheet. The construction is useful as a color proof which can be employed to accurately predict the image quality from a lithographic printing process on a variety of printing surfaces.
