The present invention relates to a method for forming, on the surface of a metal part, a protective coating containing aluminium and zirconium, in which said part is brought into contact with an aluminium alloy cement at a treatment temperature, with an atmosphere containing an active gas that reacts with the cement to form a gaseous aluminium halide, which decomposes on contact with the part, depositing aluminium metal thereon, the active gas containing ZrOCI2 which decomposes on contact with the part, depositing zirconium metal thereon, and being formed by vaporization of ZrOCI2 granules which is solid at room temperature. The method is characterized in that the part, the cement and the ZrOCI2 granules are progressively heated together in a chamber from room temperature up to the treatment temperature, with a temperature hold at 400°C ± 200°C.
La présente invention porte sur un procédé pour former, sur la surface d'une pièce métallique, un revêtement protecteur contenant de l'aluminium et du zirconium, dans lequel on met en contact ladite pièce et un cément en alliage d'aluminium, à une température de traitement, avec une atmosphère contenant un gaz actif qui réagit avec le cément pour former un halogénure d'aluminium gazeux, lequel se décompose au contact de la pièce en y déposant de l'aluminium métallique, le gaz actif contenant ZrOCI2 qui se décompose au contact de la pièce en y déposant le métal Zr, et étant formé par vaporisation de granules de ZrOCI2 solide à température ambiante. Le procédé est caractérisé par le fait que l'on chauffe progressivement et ensemble la pièce, le cément et les granules de ZrOCI2 dans une enceinte depuis la température ambiante jusqu'à la température de traitement avec un palier à 400°C ~ 200°C.
