An apparatus for gas treatment of a bath of molten aluminum kept stationary in an oven. The apparatus comprises a removable gantry placed above the oven from which are suspended at least three gas injector assemblies with vertical axes of symmetry more than two metres long any two of which are in different planes; these assemblies, extending through holes let into the ceiling of the oven, are partially immersed in the bath and their submerged parts are separated one from another only by the bath. Each assembly comprises a rotating shaft into which is drilled, lengthwise, a cavity, closed at the bottom, whose open end emerges above the oven, the said shaft being fitted with a motor at the top and, at the bottom, with a rotor through each of whose blades runs a canal communicating with the cavity; the rotor is surrounded by a stator extending downward to a point near the upper surface of the rotor and upward to above the ceiling of the oven. This device is intended for highly efficient treatment of molten aluminum baths with a continuous free surface of more than 10 m2.
Dispositif de traitement au moyen de gaz d'un bain liquide d'aluminium maintenu à l'état stationnaire dans un four. Ce dispositif est constitué par un portique amovible placé au-dessus du four et auquel sont suspendus au moins trois ensembles injecteurs de gaz de longueur supérieure à 2 mètres d'axe de symétrie vertical, dont lesdits axes pris deux à deux sont situés dans des plans différents, qui plongent en partie dans le bain par l'intermédiaire d'ouvertures pratiquées dans la voûte du four et dont les parties immergées sont séparées les unes des autres uniquement par le bain. Les ensembles comprennent chacun un arbre rotatif percé suivant son axe par une cavité fermée vers le bas et débouchant au-dessus du four, ledit arbre étant équipé à sa partie supérieure d'un moteur et à sa partie inférieure d'un rotor muni de pales percées. chacune à leur extrémité par un canal relié à la cavité et étant entouré par un stator s'allongeant vers le bas à proximité de la face supérieure du rotor et vers le haut au-dessus de la voûte du four. Ce dispositif trouve son application dans le traitement avec une grande efficacité de bains liguides d'aluminium présentant une surface libre continue d'aire supérieure à 10 m2.
