A method is provided for generating an invertible 3D hydrodynamic earth model suitable for defining target characteristics of a subsurface area formed by a plurality of formations and comprising drilling positions of potential and real wells. The method comprises constructing an initial 3D earth model by combining solutions for a set of single 1D models, each of the models corresponding to a real or potential well drilling position and covering the entire respective aggregate of formations along the wellbore, with solutions for a relevant set of 2D earth models which are constructed only for single formations, and optimizing the constructed initial 3D earth model by defining an optimal set of formations and an optimal set of calibratable model parameters. A method and system are also provided for application of the earth model construction method for predicting overpressure evolution before and during drilling. As the earth model constructed in accordance with the above method provides efficient inversion of data, in particular gathered while drilling, the prediction can be updated in real-time while drilling. The invention can ensure optimization of the drilling process and improves its safety.
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé servant à produire un modèle de sol hydrodynamique tridimensionnel pouvant être inversé, approprié pour définir les caractéristiques cibles d'une zone en sous-sol constituée par plusieurs formations et comprenant des positions de forage de puits potentiels et réels. Ce procédé consiste à construire un modèle de sol tridimensionnel initial en combinant des solutions pour un groupe de modèles unidimensionnels simples, correspondant chacun à une position de forage de puits réel ou potentiel et couvrant toute la zone cumulée respective des formations le long du puits de forage, avec des solutions pour un groupe pertinent de modèles de sols bidimensionnels qui sont construits uniquement pour des formations simples, et à optimiser le modèle de sol tridimensionnel initial ainsi construit, en définissant un groupe optimal de formations et un groupe optimal de paramètres de modèles étalonnables. Cette invention concerne également un procédé et un système permettant d'appliquer ce procédé de construction de modèles de sol pour prévoir l'évolution des surpressions avant et pendant le forage. Dès lors que le modèle de sol construit conformément à ce procédé permet une action efficace des données, notamment des données recueillies pendant le forage, la prévision peut être mise à jour en temps réel pendant le forage. Cette invention permet d'assurer l'optimisation du processus de forage et d'améliorer sa sécurité.
