The invention relates to a method for the generation of image data for the stereoscopic representation of an object on a display (1, 3) with a two- dimensional array of pixels (6), whereby the array has several adjacent image regions (11) in a direction (x), each comprising several adjacent pixels (P11, P12, P13) in the direction (x). According to the method, image data for several viewed aspects (A1, A2, A3, A4) of the object are gathered, a distribution of the aspects (A1, A2, A3, A4) in a one- or two-dimensional base cell (10) is defined, a weighting function (W1, W2, W3, W4) is determined for each aspect, determining the weighting appropriate for image data of the aspects (A1, A2, A3, A4) on determining the image data, depending on the position in the base cell (10), whereby all the weighting functions (W1, W2, W3, W4) together represent the distribution in the base cell (10). In order to determine the image data for the pixels (6) of an image region (11), the weighting functions (W1, W2, W3, W4) are scaled such that the base cell (10) covers the image region (11) in the direction (x) and then the weighting for each pixel (6) given by the scaled weighting function (W1, W2, W3, W4) for the position thereof in the image region (11) is determined, by means of which the image data for the corresponding aspects (A1, A2, A3, A4) are weighted and allocated to the image data of the pixel (6).
L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire des données d'images destinées à la représentation stéréoscopique d'un objet sur un dispositif d'affichage (1,3) comportant un réseau bidimensionnel de pixels (6) qui présente, dans une direction (x), une pluralité de zones d'image (11) adjacentes comprenant, dans la direction (x), une pluralité de pixels (P11,P12,P13) juxtaposés. Ce procédé consiste à mettre à disposition des données d'image d'une pluralité de vues différentes (A1, A2, A3, A4) de l'objet; prédéfinir une répartition des vues (A1, A2, A3, A4) dans une cellule de base à une ou deux dimensions (10); fixer pour chaque vue une fonction de pondération (W1, W2, W3, W4) qui indique, en fonction de la position dans la cellule de base, avec quel poids les données d'image des vues (A1, A2, A3, A4) sont à prendre en considération lors de la détermination des données d'image, toutes les fonctions de pondération (W1, W2, W3, W4) représentant conjointement la répartition dans la cellule de base (10); mettre à l'échelle les fonctions de pondération (W1, W2, W3, W4) pour déterminer les données d'objet des pixels (6) d'une zone d'image (11) de sorte que la cellule de base (10) recouvre la zone d'image (11) dans la direction (x), puis déterminer pour chaque pixel (6) les poids prédéfinis par les fonctions de pondération mises à l'échelle (W1, W2, W3, W4) pour sa position dans la zone d'image (11), poids au moyen desquels les données d'images des vues correspondantes (A1, A2, A3, A4) sont pondérées et affectées aux données d'image des pixels (6).
