ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for growing plants in a growing substrate wherein the growing substrate is provided with a water tight cover, and the substrate is moistened to permit germination of the seed to start. The germination, start up of the seed- ling and growth of seedling are permitted to take place under controlled conditions while growing on air slot, until the seedling is established sufficiently for planting. The water tight cover is maintained intact during germination, growth, transport and planting, and then left to be destroyed or decomposed by itself. -i-
