The invention relates to a method for growth of bacteria, such as Gram negative bacteria and its corresponding supernatant. The bacteria are cultivated without substantial release of endotoxins from the bacteria into the surrounding medium. Thereby the need of purification steps necessary to remove endotoxins are reduced or eliminated such as when the bacteria are producing a product which later on should be administered to a mammal, such as a human. The bacteria are also cultivated without substantial formation of acetic acid. The level of the carbon/energy source is controled during the cultivation and oxygen limitation is avoided through regulation of the temperature. The method may be used for cultivation of bacterial in fermenters.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de culture de bactéries telles que les bactéries Gram-négatives et leur surnageant. Selon le procédé de l'invention, les bactéries sont mises en culture sans que se produise une libération sensible d'endotoxines dans le milieu environnant. Le procédé permet par conséquent de réduire ou éliminer les étapes de purification nécessaires à l'élimination des endotoxines dans le cas où, par exemple, les bactéries élaborent un produit destiné à être administré ultérieurement à un mammifère, comme un humain. Les bactéries sont également mises en culture sans qu'apparaisse une formation sensible d'acide acétique. On règle le niveau de la source de carbone/énergie pendant la croissance et on évite la déprivation en oxygène en réglant la température. Le procédé de l'invention peut être utilisé pour la croissance de bactéries dans des fermenteurs.
