A method for polymerizing ethylene and optionally other monomers in a high- pressure reactor at pressures of 1000 - 4000 bars and temperatures of between 140 and 320 ~C at temperatures and pressures when the water behaves in a supercritical manner. According to the inventive method, water is introduced into the reactor in a continuous or intermittent manner.
L'invention concerne un procédé de polymérisation d'éthylène et éventuellement d'autres monomères dans un réacteur haute pression, à des pressions allant de 1000 à 4000 bar et à des températures variant entre 140 et 320 ·C, et en tous les cas, à des conditions de pression et de température où l'eau a un comportement surcritique, de l'eau étant apportée en permanence ou de façon intermittente dans le réacteur.
